Webinar: How does Strategy Deployment and 'Lean' fit together?

 
 

April 2023 brings exciting opportunities for the team at SDL. We have been invited to run a learning session at the the very well established and attended Lean UK summit held at the Spine in Liverpool April 18th and 19th. You may have missed out on tickets for the event itself this year: UK Lean Summit 2023 - Lean Enterprise Academy (leanuk.org) , but you can still sign up to their learning platform and get advance notice of next years event. Whilst the team make their way to the venue today there are pre-summit masterclasses being held today.

In the run up to the event itself we were also invited to participate in a Q&A webinar on the topic of:

“Why does strategy deployment fit into the Lean approach?”

To give you a flavour of what was discussed, here are the questions and where to look out for them:

  1. What challenges have you seen when deploying strategy in organisations? 08:30

  2. How does a digital solution help with visualisation and communication? 10:30

  3. There is a big disconnect between deploying goals and objectives down and bottom up action planning. How have you found that? 13:28

  4. What are the main benefits of having a digital solution for strategy deployment? 16:35

  5. What are the main challenges of using a digital solution for strategy deployment? 19:41

    Open questions:

    1. How have you seen Teams organise a meeting when an organisation has moved to a digital environment? And is it different to a more manual environment? 22:38

    2. Do people question enough, or what would they need to do to learn how to question the data enough when it is just provided rather than analysed? 25:43

    3. What advice would you give to stop the excess of meetings? How much time should be spent in meetings to review objectives? 28:50
